North Gerda's Journey is a third-person action-adventure game for PC and console, designed for children aged 7–12. Inspired by Andersen’s Snow Queen and directly adapted from the upcoming feature film "NORTH", it follows Gerda on her magical journey to rescue Kai. The game blends cinematic storytelling from the movie with exploration, non-lethal but exciting combat, and a wide variety of side stories that expand the universe.
One of North’s most exciting features is its cross-platform motion mini-game system: when players discover secret areas, they can use a companion mobile app to control Gerda through real-world motions — rowing a boat, flying on a bird, throwing snowballs, or cleaning windows. These short, Wii/Kinect-style activities bring players physically into Gerda’s adventure and create memorable interactive moments unlike anything else in the market.
With its combination of dress-up collection mechanics (à la Infinity Nikki), a guardian Angel companion, and unique motion-based play, North delivers a magical fairytale adventure that unites cinema and interactive storytelling for a new generation of players.
